Really good for a civilian pouch
The way these pouches come, they have a big, thick, padded divider about 1/3 of the way deep into each compartment. This means you can put 1 AK 30 round mag in front of the divider and the other behind it, which creates a huge hole in the middle, or put them both in the back and not utilize the space up front. The trick is to get a seam ripper and carefully remove the divider. The double pouches will now carry 6 30s of AKM and 2 20 round mags of .308 like H&k G-3, FN FAL, etc... It's a tight squeeze, but you can get 6 30s for the AKM in each double pouch
