This is a genuine US government-issued assault pack in ACU that deserves your complete attention if you are considering any USGI Surplus pack. Any Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment (MOLLE) designed by the US Government is part of an integrated system, and this pack is no exception.
The pack comes with an exterior pouch that has snaps for AK bandoliers and an internal pouch with heavy-duty airborne straps. Additionally, the shoulder straps and waist belt can be concealed so the entire pack can be attached to a frame, larger pack, or carried by drag handle. These are just a few of the features when used as an auxiliary pack.
When used as a 3-day assault pack, it is just the perfect size. The pack is constructed of heavy-duty, durable, water-resistant denier nylon with YKK zippers, storm flaps, and 3-inch zipper fobs. The adjustable shoulder straps have quick-release snaps, and the two main exterior pouches (main compartment 17″ x 14″ x 6.5″ & outer pocket 12″ x 11″ x 3.5″) provide the ideal, combat-proven, approx 37 liters of storage. A variety of internal pouches can hold bladders, maps, or other slim equipment.
The 3-day assault pack is hydration compatible with bilateral hydration system tube exit holes. All exteriors of the pack have Fastek buckles with nylon webbing for attaching additional equipment. This is the perfect mix for a civilian backpack, check it out.
