Original Austrian military surplus gear built for simple, dependable field use.
This Austrian Military Ground Mat is a lightweight foam sleeping pad designed to provide a barrier between you and the ground when camping, sleeping in the field, or setting up an emergency shelter.
Finished in classic olive drab, the mat rolls tightly for transport and includes integrated tie straps to keep it secured when packed. The simple foam construction means there are no valves to leak, pumps to carry, or air chambers to puncture—just unroll it when you need it and roll it back up when you're finished.
Originally produced for the Austrian Bundesheer (Austrian Armed Forces), this is the kind of straightforward military field equipment that also works extremely well for camping, bushcraft, hunting camps, emergency preparedness, vehicle kits, and general outdoor use.
