Designed by the American custom knifemaker Lucas Burnley for Boker Plus. Burnley's challenge was to Translate a traditional Japanese Kihon into a down-to-earth solid everyday knife. The Kihon DC features a straightforward design with a decisive price-performance advantage creating an ideal, and affordable EDC. The satin-finished drop-point blade made of D2 opens velvety smooth via the removable thumb stud thanks to the ball bearing, whereas the slide lock of the crossbar lock guarantees intuitive, safe and practical unlocking of the knife. The non-slip handle with textured squares is made of high-strength GFN and fits comfortably in the hand. Orange anodised rings around the blade axle screw and the large handle screw give the Kihon a fine touch. Supplied with a lanyard hole and a convertible tip-up wire clip for flexible carrying options. Overall length is 7.87", a blade length of 3.23" and closed lenth of 4.5". This EDC Weighs only 20 ounces.
