Make no mistake, these are not quality machetes but they are a tremendous value. All of mine had plastic handles unfortunately. I had hoped for at least one wood handled one. The steel seems of reasonable quality, but does need touched up. Would buy again.

Got mine today.they so need some sharpening but good quality steel.they are heavy duty.blades are straight and all are brand new with tight fitting handles.1 has plastic handle ,but rest are good wood handles.may order another set to see if I get different types of them from the 5 varietys I received this time.well worth the money I spent

Great blades come with a short angle sharpening that lasts better than a thin more surgical sharpening job. Heavy and heavy duty. Sliced off branches of banyan tree over 1" thick and chopped through the fat 6" limbs as good as my axe. Very happy with this purchase.
