Pannier bags are similar to saddle bags but are hard-sided, hold much more gear, are specifically fitted onto pack saddles, in sets, where bulky items can be packed. These Vintage Wicker Mule Packs were used by the Romanian Army to transport a variety of materials to support the troops wherever the Romanian Armed Forces were deployed. Wicker bags have a wicker and canvas lid that is secured by metal latches. The interior of the wicker bag has a metal cross brace to keep its shape, during transport, when fully loaded. Our pannier bags contain a variety of accessories that will help with securing your load, managing your pack animal, and other tasks necessary when using a pack animal.
